Introduction

The Network Support Group is led by a Network Support Officer..

The aim is to “support” the Network in any way possible to ensure that the Network moves forward keeping abreast of all changes and ensure the continued high standard to which the Notts. Network aspires.  This will be dependent on what the individual u3as want from the Network and what the individual u3as are able to give in support of the Network.

The Network Support Group is divided into suitable activities.  The activities are set out in a Network Three Year Plan (click here to view the latest plan) under the following broad headings:
  • Development (opening new u3as)
  • Workshops/Education
  • Network Meetings
  • Governance

The Network Officers will participate in Network Support and, together with the help and advice of the Regional Trustee, will aim to ensure that the objectives set for the Network Support Group are achieved.

It is up to the individual team leader to decide whether to form a team or to act independently with just a back-up in case of ill-health etc. The team leaders attend the Network Support Group Meetings, chaired by the Network Support Officer.  Minutes are taken at these meetings and a copy of these minutes will kept on file by the Network Secretary.  The Network Officers feel that the number of meetings should be kept to a minimum with most of the communication being done by emails and/or phone calls.
